How LJ Hooker Collaroy’s Principal Andrew Strong embraces technology to win listings

Andrew Strong, Principal & Director at LJ Hooker Collaroy has over 18 years of real estate industry experience in his back pocket. Throughout those years, he’s noticed behavioural changes in his vendors that have subsequently shaped the manner in which he conducts his business.

Initially, Andrew was attracted to start using Proply as “it looked easy to use and beautiful from a mobile device”. Now, he enjoys many of the app’s powerful features, including the simplicity of an acceptance button on his proposals, real-time notifications when a vendor has viewed a proposal, upgraded search filters, and email and SMS alerts that notify agents on acceptance or if the vendor requests a callback.

“As a sales person, you want to know if you have won the listing. It can be frustrating when you’re kept in the dark for a day, a week or a month, depending on the timing of the deal. Proply helps to shed some light on how the vendor is interacting with the proposal.”

Regarding technology adoption in the real estate industry, Andrew says that “there’s no doubt technology will shape the future of real estate”. Whilst the industry is rapidly evolving, he believes that technology is enabling process improvement and that service is the driving force behind this current change, identifying that “technology allow(s) us to simplify and streamline our processes.”
